First let me tell you in my humble opinion there is no technical indicator that will call a market top with any consistency. In my now almost 60 years of trading and research, I have found one and only one thing that consistently calls when bear markets begin... Fundamental data.

So when will it begin?

If a bear market is to begin in 2018 our fundamental index will in fact give a bear market sell signal. Here is a listing of all the signals so you can see for yourself the power of the sell signal. Signals occurred at month end.

  February 1973
  October 1976
  December 1980
  September 1987
  June 1990
  July 2000
  December 2007
